Minnesota's Personal Care Assistance (PCA) program, is designed to support persons of all ages with disabilities to live independently in the community. PCAs provide services to people who need help with activities of daily living and health related functions. The PCA program provides support to people with disabilities of all ages, the elderly, and people with chronic health problems. The program is funded by Medical Assistance, MN Care Expanded benefits, or the Alternative Care program for qualifying seniors.
Rural Living Environments is pleased to announce its newest service, RLE PCA. RLE PCA is a licensed Personal Care Provider Organization and PCA Choice Provider. Sharlene Detzel, RN, will provide Qualified Professional (QP) oversight and will assist individuals in writing their care plan that describes needs and how a PCA will assist them. The QP will provide information to new PCAs about individual's needs for assistance, provide training to PCAs, provide ongoing monitoring of PCA services, inform your doctor or public health nurse about changes needed in services, and monitor the work of the PCAs.
